Military Chic: Boy meets Girl

I fell in love with this burnt orange Topshop blouse the minute I saw it despite it being overpriced (£36!!) and my friend's complete disapproval of the colour. These pictures however really show it's worth it.

The outfit is inspired by the current/last season's Military-wear crossing over into 2011's Boy meets Girl trend (this season's D&G particularly comes to mind!). Rich, dark colours take over the feminine touch of the twisted knot blouse and the jewellery detail and make the outfit come to life in a whole new way. Military Boots and a studded tan belt add to the look.

Since the quality of the camera was so brilliant, as was my friend (the photographer), these pictures are by far the best on my blog so far. The only thing these photos didn't capture is the gold zip detail on the back and on the sleeves which added to the sharp and classy look of the top. Also, I loved the location; Covent Garden- just the perfect setting for any creative adventure.

Blue Carpet Highlights: People's Choice Awards

Last Week, some of the youngest, hottest celebrities all started their New Year strutting down the Blue-carpet at the People's Choice Awards. Certainly, the girls had some incredible fashion to show-off in front of those cameras. Here are a few of my favourites of the night;
Taylor Swift definitely tops the list of best dressed of the  night with a pleated skirt detail peachy-nude J.Mendel dress. Elegant as ever, Swift pulls off a unique twist on the Parisian  look. What I love about this dress is how classy yet stylish it looks with the half one shoulder look and satiny material.
Selena is one of my favourites for style on the red-carpet. She knows how to look glamorous and dress perfectly for the occasion. This Farah Angsana baby-pink dress is simple yet beautiful. The chiffon frill detail is also really cute as it complements the style of the dress.

Kristen Stewart rocks a gold and glittery mini dress. I lovee the way this dress isn't glamorous but more edgy and sexy even though it's a party dress. Not exactly the most conventional red-carpet look but that's kinda why I like it. Kristen always knows how to pull off these kind of outfits and I love her for it! The glittery, sequinned and beaded dresses are still in season for 2011 and is one of my favourite trends of all time!
